After graduating from Simsbury High School, Dr. Lepowsky attended the University of Connecticut College of Liberal Arts & Sciences in Storrs, where he majored in Biological Sciences and minored in both Molecular & Cell Biology and Physiology & Neurobiology. Eager to enter the field of dentistry, he graduated college in three years as an Honors Scholar. Dr. Lepowsky attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in Farmington, where he graduated at the top of his class, receiving numerous awards for clinical and academic achievement, including the Academy of General Dentistry Senior Student Dental Award and induction into the Phi Chi Chapter of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. As a student, he served in leadership roles in numerous organizations and community outreach programs, and served as a student representative on several institutional educational and clinical committees. Following dental school, Dr. Lepowsky completed a General Practice Residency program at Danbury Hospital, where he received extensive experience in all phases of general dentistry and comprehensive care, including diagnosis and treatment planning, restorative dentistry (fillings), cosmetic dentistry (bondings and veneers), fixed prosthodontics (crowns and bridges), removable prosthodontics (partials and dentures), oral surgery (including third molar or "wisdom tooth" extractions), endodontics ("root canal treatment"), periodontics (gum treatment and surgery), pediatric dentistry, and management of dental emergencies and trauma. He gained proficiency in the planning, surgical placement, and prosthetic restoration of dental implants; CAD-CAM dentistry, including CEREC^®CEREC is a registered trademark of Dentsply Sirona same-day crowns; complex oral rehabilitation; and management of the medically compromised patient. Dr. Lepowsky also received certification in Invisalign^®Invisalign is a registered trademark of Align Technology clear aligner therapy. He has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education courses to expand his knowledge with the latest advances in all aspects of dental medicine.
